The best exercise for weight loss is aerobics to boost your metabolism. Start with 20 minutes first thing in the morning before you eat breakfast.  The rule is a minimum of working up a sweat for 10 minutes per day. This should be done every day.  You can take Sunday off if it iterferes with your Sunday Schedule.

My favorite videos are Richard Simmons my favorite of these are the Broadway Series. The Broadway blast off is 20 minutes of areobics. The Broadway Sweat is 45 mins. I use this one when I seem to have reached a plateau or the rate of loss lows down.

Toneing can be accomplised with Tone up on Broadway.using exercise bands.

These videos are fun. Broadway tunes are generic to  age.It is more like dancing than aerobics so you don't tend to put it off.

If you consider an exercise machine I believe the total gym is the best.

It keeps your body in alignment and actually can eliminate back pain. You start out with it very near to the floor which is easy if your out of shape as most of us are. As you gain strength you raise the level, which means you do not have to increase the time spent.  You have two choises depending on your schedule. Do the routine every other day or do different muscle groups every day. They also have a palates bar if you like palates a dvd comes with it.

Check with your doctor before you start an exercise program or if you have more reaction than slightly sore muscles or fatigue in muscles that make you feel like you'll never compete the tape.

I am 5 feet tall and when I began dieting two years ago June I weighed 170 lbs. and wore a size 14 dress. When I reached my goal of 110 the day after Christmas I wore a size 2,. I have kept it off and I feel great. I am 65 years old. So enjoy. My grandson loved doing the aerobics with me and he loved the music.  So make it family fun.

To buy exercise equipment visit consignment shops, Goodwill , Salvation Army & tag sales. It is amazing how many people give away equipment never used.

Before I wrote this blog I checked on for the availabilty of the tapes I recommended and they are all are available on Ebay and Amazon at a cost of anywhere from $350 to 14.95 I saw a set of the two aerobic tapes for 9.00

Always keep your water consumption up to about 8 glasses a day. Keep a water bottle handy when you exercise and rehydrate often. It is a scientific fact that as you exercise and loose body fat there is you might say an ash left from burning off the fat. You need the water to cleanse the ash.

I wish you the best and believe me it is worth it.  You will feel so much better.

Keep yourself encouraged.

As your clothes become to large go shopping in the attic you might find a favorite dress that you were sad when you discovered it was too small to wear.

Clean out your underwear drawer and get rid of anything that is too big.

Body brush  in the morning it feels great and will open your pores to release toxins that your healthier life style is releasing . Make it fun.

Don't give up if you reach a plateau. Use the increased aerobics to break it. I used to be famous for long plateaus . As you can see above I reached my goal the day after Christmas and I had the same Swedish Christmas feast as everyone else and believe me there was a lot on that menu that was on the avoid list.
